Opinion: VOSUN Eztrik

It's been a while since I receive this yoyo, write up on yoyos has been delayed because of busy school schedule. But here I am. Pictures first.

I want to start off by saying the yoyo looks nicer in real life in my opinion, but that's because I wasn't expecting it to feel like this. First impression reminds me of Aero-Yo's yoyo, but it quickly gives me a different impression after I unbox it. It's feels smooth and comfortable in the hand, and a little wee bit bulky, feels very slightly oversized.

I don't know if anyone else with this yoyo feels the same but I feel that it has a very wide string gap, and its bind aren't tight, I usually require a few tries to get it back, but this yoyo came with a Center-Trac bearing, so that maybe switching it to a flat bearing might help. But that aside... The yoyo spins long, smooth, and strong. Grinds are nice and smooth, and it's pretty wide, the catch zone is pretty wide. Even though it's stated weight is 65.5g, and the rim don't look thick, it feels a little rim weighted during spin, I attempted IRG and I think it's possible. Like most yoyos, the Eztrik handles more things I threw at it, needless to say. Even though I mentioned it feels bulky, rim weighted and wide, it's still fast on the string without any vibe during play, even during spin on a string hold/finger test. But I must say that the Eztrik I own has a slightly tight bearing seat, it cause a little bit of sound when taken apart and assemble back together, usually with yoyo like that, the feeling on string play changes as you take apart the yoyo more, for the Eztrik, I haven't got any issues, good thing is it doesn't have that loose bearing feeling that yoyos with loose bearing seat have.

Overall my only concern about it is the response/bind. It's just not tight enough for me, but I've watch the video by Shakeel with the Eztrik and he doesn't seem to have that problem, so those who have the Eztrik and have a different opinion on it, do share your opinion in the comment section!

Also, I did an Instagram mini contest with Vosun, I'll announce the winner soon ON INSTAGRAM.

sOMEThING by YoYoAddict Slasher

Just some photos I took during Hiroyuki's trip to Singapore a few weeks back.

I was lucky enough to try out the yoyo, I really really like it.
The fact that it's slightly undersized makes it even better! The shape, the weight, the size, the overall feel in the hand, it's just great. I would say... it's solid yet floaty? But that's just me.

I've tried the Anglam, the Anglam CC, the Anglam CC 2014, I haven't tried the Anglam 7075 or Phaser or the other yoyos, but I mentioned I actually prefer the Anglam to the Anglam Ver CC. But this, the Slasher, in my opinion, top them all. Not so much about hyping it up, it's really just my opinion. Plus this color is just sick. Okay, that's about it I wanna share.

Opinion: WHIMSYYOYOS Pokerface

It's been a while since I got this yoyo, been caught up with school, what else?
Before I move on to share my opinion on this yoyo, take a look at more pictures of the yoyo first!

So when I learnt that Steven has a new brand, I was pretty curious how the yoyo will be as compared to his old line of yoyo, mainly the Eterni Tee Spider Man. This released for a while before I asked him if I could try one out which he offered to send one.

I wasn't exactly aware of the shape because the caps always stole the attention, so I didn't really expect too much from it. Finally, got it, unbox it, put on a string and play with it. Steven told me the bearing that came in mine wasn't the stock bearing as they ran out of it. But even so, it plays very well, it will not come in KK bearing because of some carrier issue I supposed. I want to start with the feel of the shape, which I think is very comfortable, vibe-free spin and very smooth, despite the bearing not being stock. I have to say... it feels somewhere between floaty and solid, at 66g, during spin, it feels a little heavier in my opinion. The finish is smooth, the grinds are smooth, not sure if rim was design for IRG but I would say it can be done. I like the art on the cap, but I dig the joker more, but of course it doesn't affect playability, I'm just sharing.

Like mentioned, I have this for a while now, and Steven mentioned to me when we chat that they may not make another batch of Pokerface, but there were some 44Clash editions around which I think you guys can get? Overall I really enjoy this yoyo, I carry it out almost most of the time since I got it, long spinning, stable, smooth, handles everything I threw at it. I think it may feel even more floaty if you throw a KK at it. And yes, the caps can been removed, I used a needle.
You can watch the video below where I unbox it, and removed the caps.

If any of you local kids want to try this out, let me know so I can bring along IF I'm heading down town. If you have a different opinion, do share it in the comments for the benefit of those who may be interested!
