Opinion: YONITY Kung
This was suppose to be posted a while back, but due to high school... I couldn't find the time to. Not just this, also some other yoyos, and I once mentioned that these will be posted on SingaporeYoing.com but after I got messages from players not knowing I've stop blogging there and that Alex have decided to close that blog, I figured I should really stop posting there to avoid confusion, I'll post the write-ups of the older remaining samples here.
so... some photos before I start rambling. Jex sent me two Kungs, separately though, I'll post photos of the first one first.
The YONITY Kung comes installed with one shim, and came along with two more of different thickness for your liking, and also a spare pad. Axle is a pretty much traditional one instead of the one used in their 1A yoyo range, and the axle can go right through the hub, so when taken apart and screwing back, you need to cover the hole of the hub area.
I can honestly say I really like how this yoyo look, it's nice, in my opinion of course.
However I dig the black hub with white wing one more, but that's Minus' edition which means it's limited, that probably explains why I didn't get that color way.
So, playing wise, I like it, I like how it feels in the palm, and I like the bounce, but the spin just ain't right, but that's because it was stock, and turns out this piece that he sent was the first batch with slight defect, the defect being the wing flying out after a few hard bounce. So it turns out like this...
But this can be solved. The wing's are made of delrin material, so put it in boiling water for about 30 seconds, let it expand a bit, and push it back to the hub and voila. you're done. But this goes on for a few times, so I've got to talk to Jex about it. So he told me that that was the first batch, they all have the same color and engraving so he sent the wrong one without knowing. But good thing he offered to send another one which is the final product. so here goes...
Visually, it's just a different color, but playing wise, it's so much better because this was actually his own, bearing broken in, pad broken in, everything's just nice. I personally like how this plays, I can't do horizontal, like always, and I play casual off string, but this one, unlike the first piece that was sent to me, never have the problem of the wing coming off. Very durable, high toss, hard bounce, string whips are nice. Bare in mind, the stock Kung will be very responsive because of the pad, you've got to break it in. So maybe my opinion wasn't enough, so I got a few local players to try it out, and some like it, some don't, Sean Hung was like okay, JunJie seems to kind of like it, and Aik Hwee seems to enjoy it.
In my opinion, you need to break it in before it starts to get really nice to play, but that's just me.

here are videos of them trying it out so you can see how it plays.
With all this said, anyone who have tried the YONITY Kung, do comment and leave your opinion on the Kung for the benefit of those who might be thinking of getting.
As of now, the YONITY Kung is going at about 102USD at 28Spin, and 129.99USD at REWIND.

Yonity Kung tryout~
Not much time for a promo video for the Yonity Kung, here's a video Junjie trying it out.
I also realise there's more than just the offstring try-out you can watch in this video.
