2014 Hamamatsu Yo-Yo Contest Freestyles

X-division freestyles are still being uploaded, there's also other divisions you can view at YoyoVideoArchive's YouTube channel, alternatively, you can check out their website now, which they had categorized the freestyles in separate playlist. I actually have no clue who is behind this, but whoever did this deserve a thumbs up, could it actually be Yama?

YoYoFactory Space Cowboy

YYF's Tyler Severance drops a beautiful promo for his signature model, the Space Cowboy. Being a big fan of two of Tyler's previous signature yoyos, the Supernova and the Severe, i expected the Space Cowboy to have a very similar feel. However, apart from it's profile, it is very different from its 'predecessors'. It's closer to the delrin Severe in shape but has a very solid and heavy feel on the string (especially for a 66g throw) It is also incredibly stable and can easily go through long combos with plenty of spin left. It feels abit too heavy for my tastes but thats just personal preference. The Space Cowboy is a fantastic yoyo thats well worth the price point, particularly when you take into consideration the fact that it is a bi-metal.

Turning Point Shake, Signature model of Takeshi Matsuura

Multiple time 5a World Champion and 2014 1a Worlds Runner-up Takeshi has a new Signature Model, the Shake by Turning Point. Priced at about 70-80 USD, it looks to be a much more affordable throw than the Palpitation. Courtesy of a friend, i managed to try one earlier today, it has a rounder, smaller profile when compared to the Palpitation and also has a much more solid feel on the string for those who were wondering.

You can get one at the TP store or at Spinworkx
