Acquaintance: Kentaro Mannen
Kentaro Mannen is probably one of the more technical player, but that's just my opinion.
Always friendly and smiling, I remember seeing him for the first time back in 2008, or was it 2010? he look kind of fierce but he's really a friendly guy! I think he's rather underrated, is he?

YoyoAcquaintance Presents: AP-SYYC 2013
This video should have been up long ago, like most of the yoyo write-ups that should've been up too, but was so caught up with school, now that I'm on break from school, I can finally sit down and compile these clips. AP2013 was great even though many friends didn't attend, and even though I didn't really hang out like usual after the day ended, but I get to finally film and talk to players that I've seen from a distance. This AP I'm happy to finally talk to and filmed Zannix Wong, have always like his trick presentation, wicked! Ahmad Kharisma, always wanted to make a video clip of him but time constraints and I didn't talk to him about it too. Ho Swee Jim, personal favorite from Malaysia and also a Diamont Noir member, finally able to chat with him a little and get some footage of him. Ginji Miura's such a nice kid, always smiling, crazy tricks! #yoyobaby Kazuya Murata's probably the highlight of the event, attracting attention everywhere he goes, I was telling some of the guys that his parents doesn't need to worry about him getting lost because wherever he go players are watching over him. Momo aka Ethan Wong from C3YoyoDesign was pretty friendly to let me film his crazy finger grinds, watching it in person is definitely a different experience! Kentaro Mannen deserves more attention with his crazy combos and tricks, I have more footage than just that one finger grind trick that's put into this video clip and I might compile them into another short clip! Ji Hwan has been improving rapidly and I really like some of his tricks crazy! Pornpinit Sanprasert, C3YoyoDesign's latest member from Thailand, first got my attention at AP2012 using a Chinese song for freestyle, this year showing off his crazy finger spin tricks, and allowing me to film them at the bash! Of course there are other great players/old friends but these are few new players that I've never filmed before and I want to mention them.
Of course the emcee is great, everyone's favorite emcee. And definitely thanks to SPINWORKX for organizing the event and thanks to all sponsors as well! Congrats to all winners event though this entry came super late. And hope you guys enjoy watching this video even though there isn't fancy editing and all.

Slovak Yoyo Nationals 2013
SYN2013 is organizate by Slovak Yoyo Association.
It will be held 28th of September 2013 at the dance theater ELLEDANSE in the capital city of Slovakia - Bratislava. There will be 6 division in in total, 3 of them are only for Slovak players (1A begginers, 1A semi pro and 1A pro ) and 3 of them are open – for competitors from abroad (1AOpen, 4A and 5A).
So guys, if you're free and wants to attend the contest, bear in mind you can join the 3 divisions!

Shinji Saito x NMBF
Here's a few videos of Shinji Saito while he's in Russia (I think), saw these a couple months back, I didn't post them because I only saw a couple of them, and thought they're not exactly promotional video clip but rather short clip instead. Yao Kun shared this with me again today so I decide to share it with you guys, considering the views are rather low, it means no one really saw these.

Hitman X
In 2003, Johnnie Delvalle won BAC regional, Worlds and followed by the US Nationals.
Yep, Worlds before the US Nats.
If I'm not wrong, JD was sponsored by Spintastics before 2003, and was seen competing with a modded Tigershark with coral rims. Everyone was hyped up about the Hitman as Worlds is approaching, this is as far as I can remember but I could be wrong. 10 years had passed. A series of Hitmans and X-Cons have been produced. Now Yoyojam bring to you the Hitman X.
Watch the 3 winning freestyle by JD. It really wasn't easy winning the regionals, nationals and worlds all in the same year back then in that era, the first 2 that came to mind was JD and Hiroyuki Suzuki, Yuuki Spencer in 2007 did the same thing though.

"We've gone wider! As you can see with this comparison photo we've made the new Superstar wider then the original. We've also bright the inner wall in closer to the pad and bearing. This helps minimize friction between the body and the yo-yo string when playing horizontal.

"In 2008 we wanted to see how far we could push the rules of yo-yo design. We wanted to make something wide and easy to control, because that's what our team was asking for. We wanted something that could spin longer so our team could have the best chance at success. What we came up with was the Superstar. Early prototypes were hit or miss. The ones that worked were amazing! But, because of the inherent difficulty in the design, we didn't plan on making them a production model. That is, until our team started winning World and National titles with it! John Ando was the first to capture a World title with the Superstar in his ground breaking freestyle that turned a new generation of yo-yoers onto arm tricks and movement in a freestyle. After that, we knew we had to make this for every player. After careful engineering and working closely with our factories we finally had the ultimate competitive design. The Superstar has gone on to win tons of titles, and become a staple yo-yo in any players arsenal. Now, 5 years later, we have taken the core philosophy of the Superstar and given it new attributes that todays players are asking for. We pushed the boundaries even wider. We brought the inner wall closer to the bearing to reduce friction when doing horizontal tricks. And, most noticeably, we designed it without hubstacks to minimize center weight for even longer spin times. This is a true competitor, and with it you can be the next Superstar.
